Backend Development and APIs

Nobody thanks a backend for working. They only notice when it does not.

Every system integration, every booking flow, every dashboard depends on a backend that does its job quietly and does not fall over under load. That is the part users never see and never thank you for, until it breaks.

We develop backend solutions in .NET and other enterprise grade technologies on Azure, including REST APIs, microservices, serverless functions, and data pipelines. We design for performance, security, and scalability from day one, not as a refactor six months in.

How we help

  • REST APIs: clean, documented, versioned, built to be consumed by frontends, partners, or third parties without surprises.
  • Microservices: broken apart deliberately, not by accident, so each piece can scale and deploy independently.
  • Serverless functions: for workloads that do not need a server running around the clock, on Azure Functions.
  • Data pipelines: moving and transforming data between systems reliably, with failure handling that does not lose records silently.

Technology

  • .NET and C#
  • Azure App Service
  • Azure Functions
  • Azure SQL and Cosmos DB
  • REST and GraphQL APIs
  • message queues for asynchronous processing
  • API gateways and rate limiting

Why it matters

We have built backend systems handling real transaction volume for tourism platforms, including the ERP and booking infrastructure behind Lomarengas, Finland's largest cottage rental service. When an API call from a booking platform, payment gateway, or CRM fails silently, the cost shows up as a lost sale or a support ticket.

A backend that works under demo conditions and one that works under real concurrent load are different engineering problems. We load test against realistic traffic patterns before launch, particularly for tourism platforms where a peak booking morning can generate more concurrent load than the rest of the month combined.

Frequently asked questions

.NET on Azure gives us deep integration with the Microsoft ecosystem most of our clients already run on, plus the enterprise grade reliability tourism and healthcare platforms need at real transaction volume.
Yes, this is common in our integration work. We design APIs to be clean, documented, and versioned specifically so external partners can integrate without surprises.
We design for your real workload pattern from the start, including seasonal spikes, using serverless functions and scalable architecture where it fits, rather than discovering capacity limits in production.
Both. A lot of our work is diagnosing and fixing backend systems that are failing silently or buckling under load, not just greenfield builds.
